This is one of Madonna’s most famous images, and I was excited to translate it. It proved more difficult than I had anticipated. The power of on square is amazing. The very tip of her nose (now in light blue) was tried many ways. Dark Blue made it look like her nose was cut off. White made it look like she had a pointy witch nose, and beige made it look muddled. The light blue worked best for the blend.

As will all of these pieces, the original image is less than 1 inch square, so to truly see the comparison, you have to look at it from far away, or squint your eyes when you look at it, making it blurry.
